Faculty Mentoring Certificate Program
The Faculty Mentoring Certificate Program, a collaboration between the Mentoring Center and the Faculty Center for Teaching Excellence (FCTE), is designed to bring faculty from around campus together to discuss and receive training in best practices in both formal and informal mentoring, establish faculty connections with the Mentoring Center, and be ambassadors to their departments and colleges, sharing information about the mentoring programming around campuses and supporting other faculty in their mentoring activities. Faculty who are interested in seeking the certificate can complete an application process and are screened by a review team.
Dr. Andrea Arrington, Associate Professor of History and African and African American Studies Program, serves as the faculty fellow for the faculty mentoring certificate program. Dr. Arrington took the lead to develop a robust certification.
